With over 2.4 million hectares (6 million acres!) of land, there are plenty of twisty routes to experience, and countless others to find.

Below are some of Ontario’s Highlands top motorcycle routes, each of which vary in distance, but all hold true to the legends of our famous, twisty roads.

The Highlands Loop is a motorcycle route that provides riders with a full tour of Ontario’s Highlands, and covers an astonishing 1,000+ kms! This amazing trip will take about 3 days to complete, and shouldn’t be rushed! Take the time to appreciate the winding roads, natural landscapes and unique communities throughout your travels! You’ll venture along the Ottawa River, Rideau Canal, Algonquin Park, and Centennial Lake Road, experience quaint towns and villages such Calabogie and Tweed, just to name a few! This route is amazing all year round, and is particularly beautiful in the fall months when the leaves are at their most vibrant colours. As well, there are no shortage of places to stay, things to see, and foods to eat when riding the Highlands Loop!

Deep Valley Run

The Deep Valley Run is a 771km motorcycle route that spans across the Ottawa Valley into Pembroke and ventures westward towards Bancroft and back. You can choose to start this route wherever you desire, but make sure to give yourself at least 2-3 days of travel time – you don’t want to be rushed on the second longest motorcycle route in Ontario’s Highlands.

Dynamite Alley

Dynamite Alley is a 2 day motorcycle ride through Ontario’s Highlands that takes you from the Kawartha Lakes region to Algonquin Park and back. No matter where you choose to start this 508km motorcycle route, you’ll be covering multiple regions of Ontario’s Highlands passing through the popular towns of Haliburton Bancroft, Dorset, and more!

Rideau Ridge

The Rideau Ridge is our shortest motorcycle route, spanning a total of 261km and can be completed in a single day. As the name suggests, this route follows the Rideau Canal from Smiths Falls, and turns around in Parham, Ontario. Even though this is one of our shorter routes, don’t be fooled – there’s lots to see and take in. Be sure to take a few stops along the way as there are plenty of great attractions to see throughout this wonderful region!
