Explore the wonderful wilds of Algonquin Park by horseback; this quiet, natural method of travel is a great way to discover the wildlife and scenic landscapes of Canada's first National Park.

Start your journey at South Algonquin Trails Equestrian Centre, where you’ll get saddled up for the day’s adventure through Algonquin Park. After an afternoon of riding you'll arrive at Algonquin Eco-Lodge, your hosts for the evening, and enjoy a sumptuous dinner and an evening of stargazing and sharing of stories and songs around the campfire. During your stay at this four season off-grid lodge (winners of the 2012 Ontario Tourism award for sustainable tourism), be sure to enjoy some of their many unique amenities. Take a tour of the private waterfall featuring a micro-hydro powered electricity generator; take a soak in the carbon neutral hot tub; rejuvenate in the outdoor wood fired sauna.

After breakfast the next morning, enjoy a ride to High Falls where you’ll enjoy a tasty trail lunch, and relax and swim by the water’s edge. The rest of the afternoon is spent riding through the Park’s infamous forest as you return to South Algonquin Trails.

Perth through the Ages: Our new theatrical guided walking tour in beautiful Heritage Perth. Walking the streets of Heritage Perth is almost akin to touring the backlot of a motion picture studio: beautiful heritage facades literally whisper of a history peopled with remarkable characters and compelling stories. From June 25 to August 31, Perth comes to life with a guided theatrical walking tour that introduces you to fascinating, entertaining stories.

Tay Canal Tours: Enjoy our classic boat tour on The Blue Goose along the historic Tay Canal, part of the Rideau Canal system (designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007). Explore numerous historic sites, including elements of the original 1834 Tay Canal; the Tay Marsh beside the Perth Wildlife Reserve.

"Sun, Saunter & Splash" offers 3 nights accommodation at Del Mar Cottages on beautiful Lake St. Peter; breakfast each morning at Porterville Diner within walking distance of cottages. Our first adventure takes us to Algonquin Trail Riding at the Southern Edge of Algonquin Park where you will saddle your horse and take an hour ride into the lower areas of the Park. On returning to your cottage, you can relax and enjoy the lake using canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats. In the evening, you will travel to Bancroft where a good selection of restaurants will provide choice for dinner, then on to the Bancroft Summer Theatre for an evening's fun entertainment.

After breakfast the following day, our second adventure awaits at Madawaska Kanu Centre where a 2 hour family raft trip on the Madawaska takes you through scenic beauty and tumbling whitewater. A skilled raft guide will accompany you, making sure of your safety by scouting and reading the rapids, just like the voyageurs who navigated the Madawaska hundreds of years ago. And you can get in the 'swim of things' body surfing through 'Claudia's Rollers'! Lunch follows after your ride. The balance of the day is again yours to enjoy at the lake or visiting the many craft shops in the area.
