This Canoe Trip Will Rock Your World

Canoeing at Bon Echo

Paddle your way through Bon Echo Provincial Park, located near Kaladar in the Land O’ Lakes. By canoe or kayak, you can explore the waters along Mazinaw Lake, named after the granite rock face that rises up out of the water and overhead for 100 meters above the lake. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for hundreds of ancient pictograph drawings, the largest visible collection of native petroglyphs in Canada.

Canoe and kayak rentals are available at Bon Echo Provincial Park. While in the park, you can also hike to the top of Mazinaw Rock for a spectacular view out over the lake.

Hungry outdoor enthusiasts can pop into Addison Restaurant in Northbrook, just south of Bon Echo on Highway 41. The menu is full of delectable dish selections such as pickerel and haddock dinners, steak, and salads.
