Come see the fully-restored, new and improved, Bancroft Mineral Museum

Uranophane from the Faraday Mine, Bancroft Ontario

The Bancroft Mineral Museum has been the jewel in the crown of Canada’s Mineral Capital since 1985 – a place to get inspired before a dig, find helpful information, and meet like-minded folk – but after a brief hiatus, it’s now back, bigger and better than ever before. The fully-restored heritage train station is once again home to the Highlands premier Recreational Geology destination featuring more than 400 local specimens in a brand new, 1,200 square-foot showroom with modern lighting and displays.

If you’re curious about mineral collecting, the area’s rich mining heritage, or just looking for something new to do on a rainy afternoon, check out this world-class offering. Admission goes to support the museum, and the Bancroft Gem and Mineral Club, who operates the museum.
