Get ready for the ride of your life in the Haliburton Highlands. This day trip to Sir Sam’s Ski & Bike provides thrills, excitement, nature, great views, and more. A must on any adventurer’s checklist, the park offers something for all cyclist types and skill levels.
Before you head out, we recommend tuning up your bike at Endo Cycle, just south of Bancroft.
From there, it’s an hour and a half’s drive to Sir Sam’s for cross-country biking trails and downhill mountain biking. Take the covered lift access with your bike up to the top of the park. You’re in for a treat with great views over Eagle Lake and Moose Lake. From the top, mountain bike all the way down to the bottom for challenging and fun biking terrain. BMXers will want to check out the BMX Pump Track for more thrills.
Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the top of the hill or grab snacks and a beverage at the licensed cafeteria. The park also offers after hours biking on the cross-country trails for those that want to continue riding into the night.
